The aim of this name change is to add value to the region and to bring all the Mediterranean’s virtues together under a single umbrella.
Mediterrãnea Gastrõnoma will be held at Feria Valencia from 8th to 10th November 2020.
Valencia, 17th January 2020. In 2020, Gastrónoma is changing its name to Mediterrãnea Gastrõnoma, the Mediterranean food fair. The objective is clear: to add value to the region and, above all, to bring the virtues of Mediterranean cuisine together under one roof.
Mediterránea Gastrónoma is about cooking, products and producers. It is about kitchen gardens, sea and mountains. It is about the cutting edge but also about tradition. It is about wine, oil, bread and sweet treats. It is, most definitely, all about gastronomy.
The repositioning of Gastrónoma is a natural progression and has happened at what is a golden moment for the industry: currently gastronomy is vibrant, there is a generation of unique chefs, both male and female, an extraordinary culinary ecosystem, and a dynamic professional landscape. Also, people are understanding and living their lives and gastronomy in their own unique way.
«This year has demonstrated that this is the most important food fair in the Mediterranean. We had to capture this, take advantage of everything it has given us and harness it to move forward», said Carlos Mataix, the event’s Chairman. «It is a great way to showcase our region and our industry, not only to chefs but also to restaurateurs, artisans, farmers and producers,» he added.
